Very rude, bad service.

No flavor and over priced. $18 for tiki masala and if you wanted rice with it, that's extra. Your better off with Royal India on university and 6th

One of my favorite SD Indian spots! This place was great! What I got the mixed grill they ask if I wanted this extra add on sauce, I can't remember what it was called but it was great! I could eat anything dipped in that I came back before I left SD and will be back next time I am in town.

We ended up here on a Sunday afternoon after a major attack of indecision. And lo and behold, it was a good decision! The lunch buffet (11 bucks per person) was quite satisfying. At first I was wary, and scraping a few pans, when the owner breezed by with fresh, hot trays of food. Lots of choices with a few meat dishes, but I would probably go there again just to eat the kneer, a delicious rice pudding with whole cardamom pods that are unlike anything I have ever tasted. Service was a non issue, since we served ourselves. Parking is a non issue since you can park in Horton Plaza, and it's literally right outside. And the food is a delicious issue that should be addressed by your stomach immediately.

This place is super cute, especially for couples. You can snuggle up on the pillows on the floor with the low tables. They also have normal tables. The music is chill and they have bollywood night (I forgot what night though) if you're into that. Since I am transitioning to a vegan diet, I find that I like Indian food more and more. The food here was solid 4 stars. We had the bhartha (eggplant) - pretty good and mushroom masala - really really good. Although I would say that it's a bit pricy, it is in the gaslamp after all. Park in the Horton plaza to validate your parking ticket for 3 hours. We'll be back to try more yummy veggie curries.

Overpriced but worth it. As a tourist, I'm still not used to being charged for Rice. I hear its a "California thing". The garlic naan, chicken tikka marsala and yogurt smoothie were part of the best meal I had on my weeklong stay in San Diego.
